Assemblies

Primary Assemblies

Primary assemblies are a weekly event here at Geelong Baptist College. They are held at 8.45 am on a Monday morning in the Foundation classroom. Assemblies are taken on a rota basis by Primary staff and include a devotion based on a termly theme as well as class certificates, notices and topical items. Each assembly concludes with the singing of the National Anthem.

Parents are most welcome to attend and are encouraged to do so.

Children who receive a certificate will also have their photo taken and will appear in the weekly school newsletter.

Special assemblies will be held at certain times throughout the year, such as Easter, Christmas, Anzac Day, Remembrance Day or presentations for school sporting events. These may be whole school assemblies.

As a school, we feel that the celebration of success as well as worshipping together builds community and promotes citizenship.

Term 2 has our staff discussing 'What a friend we have in Jesus' at our Assemblies.
